Our Story

The History of Jane Saunders and Manning

Our company was established in 1973 and we were primarily custom-made shoemakers. However, over time the range of products we produce has increased vastly. From helmets to cervical collars, spinal bracing, callipers to all manner of footwear and foot related items, all made to measure.

Our technical support advisors are on hand to offer any advice either over the telephone, by email or at our offices in Thornton Heath.

The company is built on the experience of our directors, who have been active in the production of our made to measure footwear for 40 years, supported by an outstanding team of 35. 

General Manager, Steve Fisher and our Office Manager, Carol Lobley are on hand to advise and  assist, along with our superb office team. 

We have embraced certain aspects of the new technology that have become available, mostly in the designing of uppers and the engineering/production of total contact insoles.

We are one of only two companies approved to manufacture custom-made safety footwear tested to the EC Directive 89/686/EEC Annex11, Using Satra M16:2000.

We are recognised as market leaders in the product range we supply, especially in the treatment of the diabetic foot.

Our aim is to provide a professional service in a caring manner. We are continually striving to improve our product and customer satisfaction.
